A Glimpse of the FUTURE

SUN+SUN+SUN=impromptu bbq+crazy girls night+mojitos w/ fresh mint from my garden

Last night my girl Sara came over after work and well, we made the BBQ happen. SO WARM yesterday. A glimpse of the summer. BBQs every night at our house everyone. BYOM, seriously no joke.

Maybe we got a little camera happy?

Ruby and I kicked our husbands out, GIRLS ONLY!

We even kicked Jericho out.Our BBQ started off just a small relaxing gathering with a little chips and homemade salsa.
Brought out the lap top and speakers... Pandora playlist: Journey... my parents would be so proud.
mmm and fresh mint mojitos
Then we started maning or wo-maning the grill with chicken and yams.

We ate a ton of chips and salsa
As the evening went on we had to bring out some lighting, lanterns on the umbrella, candles and blankets
We dont have patio furniture yet so my kids table worked great.
Then we got a surprise guest. Denny stopped by with betsy to pick up some toys ruby's mom brought over. He had to show us his foot injury, he got a corn or blister or something.
Cute little betsy. Poor Denny probably felt like he was in middle school again. We kept harassing him.

Heather joined our party after running 4miles. she is craaaazy. GIRLS NIGHT! Betsy is soo cool. The Bains left but the party kept going and the night kept coming.

We refused to go inside! We were going to enjoy every last drop of sun. Out came the sweatshirts and the blankies

For dinn I made bbq chicken on top of a bed of sated homminy with garlic and onion and grilled sweet yams. a big pile of yum!

We picked sage and burned it. its smells nice.out came the cream puffs and hot fudge that my grandma made. mmmm
good food, good friends and good fun. I love summer! wait.... its still spring!
10pm. Time to go in before we get noise complaints.
