Another Sunday at the Family Farm

Yesterday before and after Ruby's birthday party I was helping out at my family's farm(Phil stayed at my parents the whole time)

6.5hrs
6 people
10,000 apples
100 gals of cider

This is the exact cider press that my mom and grandma borrowed. You feed the apples into the box for grinding. Once your barrel is full slide it over to the press and crank it down until juice drips out the bottom. It was a lot of fun.

I spent most of my time in the garden picking the last of the tomatoes, basil, celery, cucumbers...
I have a TON! take some!

Phi and I really appreciate the idea of living off the land but it is a lot of work! We're lucky to reap the benefits of my parents labor, thanks mom and dad!

I want a farm someday where I can live off the land...something about it gets me! You're right about a lot of work though.

Mmm. I want some apple cider. That sounds yummy. Now, I kinda wanna watch that movie, Cider House Rules. I love Charlize Theron.

How are you? Are you having fun driving your new car?
