Phil and I had a busy weekend. I wasn't able to get a traditional workout in on Saturday. We were meeting friends at 5:30pm. It was 4:50pm so I just started wogging toward our friends house until Phil was ready to leave and pick me up halfway.
On Sunday I did the same thing. We had dinner plans with Phil's parents at 5 so I left early and wogged to their house.
So for this Tuesday I'll be rushing to Lebanon for my lil' brother's graduation so I think I leave early and start walking and have Phil come get me on the way?!
I like this 'one-way' wogging instead of 'roundtrips'. Its fun to go in just one direction and see how far you can make it.

Garden Updates
I've been pretty discouraged with our garden... the dogs keep destroying our plants. We still have a good amount plants still growing but our vine garden has been trampled. I see a few zucchini but all the others are destroyed. My mom is coming next saturday to help me build a fence. Then I'll try to replace all thats been trampled.
I learned something NEW!
Potatoes have flowers?!

Purple flowers, I had no idea. Pretty cool.
We have an abundance of strawberries. Im in the process of freezing and vacuum sealing them.
The peas!
First few regular peas.
First and only snap pea. So sweet and delicious.
Our beans are working their way up the strings.
So far we've been eating:
spinach
collard greens
swiss chard
cilantro
basil
sage
mint
radishes
beet greens
strawberries

Save Money
I agree its so much easier to by bags of frozen cut up chicken but it is also 3x the cost of buying whole fryers. Safeway has a great sale right now .99/lb, you can buy a whole chicken for $3-$4.
I bought one and cut it up and made meals for the whole week. All you need is some tup-a-ware and good kitchen shears. Freeze some pieces or keep on hand in the fridge.
My dad taught me how to cut up a chicken. I'll spare you cheesy photos of myself or a home video, I found this on hulu.com:
freeze the backs and wing tips to make stocks and soups.
