Go Warriors!

compliments of the Democrat Herold. Kenny is #5

Tonight is my lil' Bros very last homecoming game. My baby brother is growing up.
It is always so weird going back to my old high school. Kenny is the same number our big brother was... so when I watch Kenny's games I feel like a sophmore again watching Joel. I need to get out my old red and blue!

Mary's Peak

Sunday after Dox we had a wonderful family lunch and family hike.
Dad and Phil were absent but we still had a lot of fun. Wubby and I took turns with the camera. He'll post later, but here are some of my favorites:

Turns Out There were only pictures of Pete and Jenn... I think its because of that darn cute baby!
Emma needed a break half way up the hill, she was working hard so she needed to replenish with a banana.
I cant believe I've never been to the top of Mary's Peak! The view was awesome!

I think you can see the ocean from there? Do you know anything about that??
Did you have your boyfriend in your senior pictures?? I did and then I was in his... this totally reminds me of it!
Such a nice family, too bad bem wasn't smiling...

Emma did such a good job walking. Im short enough to not have to bend over when I hold her hand.
Welp. My favorite picture. I was trying to get a silhouette of emma standing on the log by herself but I got this instead. A very blurry picture but I just love it. You can barely see Bem's face but she looks so safe. I love her tiny hands and feet. A very nice picture of a momma and her baby.

Another Sunday at the Family Farm

Yesterday before and after Ruby's birthday party I was helping out at my family's farm(Phil stayed at my parents the whole time)

6.5hrs
6 people
10,000 apples
100 gals of cider

This is the exact cider press that my mom and grandma borrowed. You feed the apples into the box for grinding. Once your barrel is full slide it over to the press and crank it down until juice drips out the bottom. It was a lot of fun.

I spent most of my time in the garden picking the last of the tomatoes, basil, celery, cucumbers...
I have a TON! take some!

Phi and I really appreciate the idea of living off the land but it is a lot of work! We're lucky to reap the benefits of my parents labor, thanks mom and dad!

Mini Car for a Mini Asian

FINALLY!! After almost 3yrs of car shopping and test driving we committed to my "ranger replacement"!!

My very own Mini Cooper!

The Story:

Jim Roe started helping me find a new car since before we were married. We knew my ranger was going to explode soon so we wanted to be prepared. We knew we wanted to buy used so Jim called us every time he got a quality trade-in that he thought we would like. We've almost purchased a handful of vehicles but we always chickened out! Phillip knew that I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED Mini Coopers so somehow that got passed to Jim.

Yesterday Phil got the call that Power got in a 2003 Mini with 70K miles and Phil almost bought it to surprise me... so crazy. So when he called to ask if we still want a car payment I made the previous post.... no idea that I would be buying one! We went after work and I was instantly in love with my new baby car. We had to drive it to Pete and Jenn's first to make sure that Emma approved... she gave us the go ahead so we put $1,500 down and bought the sucker!

I couldn't stay asleep this morning, I woke up early so I could sit in the car, read the manual and play with buttons. I love cars that have fun features... I have so much to learn.

From my key you push unlock once for driver, twice for passenger, hold down to roll down windows and open roof.

One of my favorite features are the buttons on the back of the steering wheel that i feel when I grip the wheel to adjust the volume/mode/seek... took me a while to discover them.Switch from automatic to mannual.

heated seats, and audio sensors in seats that know if I'm driving by myself so it adjusts the acoustics accordinglyLots of room for Emma's car seat.
front moon roof opens.

Im a tiny bit silly I know. Who really cares about all this, right?!

Im just so excited, I've never picked out and purchased my own car... I feel more adult-like. ha ha ha!

Happy Birthday Ruby

Look how much you girls have grown!
Happy birthday boo! Im excited for your party this Sunday!!!

I Want It!

Did you know I've been wanting a mini cooper for a couple of years??? I just love them. I'm a really bad driver. I cant parallel park and I never use my mirrors so I need a small tiny car!!

I've always had "hand-me-downs" from my parents and Im so appreciative... but now I want a car that I get to pick out all by myself.

Why do I like these? They ARE kinda ugly?! I think they remind me of Jerhico.. short and stout.

I keep asking Phil for one but they are too expensive. And why add another car payment to our budget...hmmm....

There is a hot pink one that used to come into coffee culture and I actually loved the hot pink.

I think Katie Duke is going to make fun of me.
